Working from Home Program

Overview

Initiated in 2008, to empower women to balance their family responsibilities and their active participation in the labor market, the Women’s Working from Home Program encourages potentially productive, energetic women to participate in the development of the community from home. To achieve such a goal, the administrative function of the program was designed as an integrated system that begins with training girls on production, followed by supplying them with the necessary materials from the Academy to work from their homes. When the Academy receives the finished products, it passes them through Quality Control and the production cycle ends in sorting, packaging, and delivering the products to customers. The production lines that the Academy runs are diversified and include prayer rugs, prayer gowns, prayer beads, and sculpture. Currently, the production lines have about 250 girls working on them.
